A study in Metal subculture needs to be conducted, especially in which type of Metal is going to be chosen. (Death Metal!)
Snooty golfer doesn't reappear anywhere. Character consistency needs to happen, maybe some character development?
Love and Metal don't go well together. Possible conflict, romantic plot?
Accidents happen. I think it would be scarey and psychological if one of the characters ended up killing a live person, maybe important.
Should this be a Comedy Horror? Break 4th wall perhaps? Zombie Billy Mays? (For the record, I thought of this before he died.)
Recurring theme: "He makes a great flaming zombie."
Important thing to think about: We know everything that will happen to the characters over the course of the story. The hard part is presenting the story in a way that's appealing, presenting the facts so that it's exciting at the end and the audience keeps guessing.
I'd like to have Wolfram|Alpha (or Foxsheep|Beta, if they don't allow it) do a search on "Ancient Indian Herb + Experimental Chemical Fertilizer" and output "ZOMBIES!!!!!!!!" in big letters, followed by "easily neutralized with perfume or a brain-disabling attack. Brain disabling attacks do not work on headless zombies, but you knew that."
Anything racial, or is the cast going to be wonderbread? Race, sexuality, religion, political persuasion: all very controversial topics. Lets write em in!
Caren needs an agent, an entourage. Wait, that's great! Caren and her entourage could hook up with the metal band. Wow.... that's so cool! So much plot, script, character development, controversy can be made doing this.
